Blade Translation Services

Welcome!

Blade Translation Services provides fast, quality translation and checking services from and to virtually all languages. We believe that to ensure optimum quality, translations should only be performed by native speakers of the target language, and as such all the translators we use speak the language you require as their mother tongue. We have one simple set of rates for all our translations, depending on the speed you require. This means that we do not charge extra for specialised content.

We are able to translate a wide variety of material, including (but not limited to) business correspondence, literary works, scientific articles, software, manuals, handbooks, press reports, brochures, product advertisements and legal texts.

When you send us your documents for translation, we select the most appropriate translator(s) for the job based on their experience and specialism in the field you require - we only use the best!

We always treat your documents with the utmost care and sensitivity, and, should you decide not to use us, we will remove them from our systems forthwith.

If you require a translation into three or more languages you may be eligible for a discount.

Rates

Our general tariff is €0.14 per word. All our translations are performed by a native speaker of the target language, and then separately checked by another native speaker.

Quotes

See the Rates page for our prices. For an estimate of the total price you can request a quote by sending an e-mail to quotes@bladetranslationservices.com containing:

• the document(s) to be translated;
• the deadline (if the task is urgent);
• the source and target languages;
• the desired payment method;
• the desired delivery method.

You will receive an e-mail within one working day with a quote. If desired we can begin the translation immediately; please indicate whether you require this in your quote request e-mail.
If the documents contain pictures, please supply a total word count yourself.

We accept bank transfers, cheques, PayPal and MoneyBookers.
Translations can be delivered by e-mail or post, on paper, CD or diskette, or via fax. We do not charge extra for the delivery method, although e-mail remains the fastest way to send and receive your documents.

All quotes are, of course, completely obligation-free.

Terms

Conditions for the execution of assignments to perform
or correct translations by Blade Translation Services:

1. The "Client" is understood to be the person or organisation requesting the performing of a translation. The "Agency" is understood to be Blade Translation Services.
2. The Client is required to check whether the Agency has fulfilled the Agreement directly after delivery of the translated material. Should the Client find the translation unacceptable due to inadequacies in the presentation or the text, the Client must inform the Agency of this in writing within 7 working days of receipt of the translated material and allow the Agency reasonable time to effect the necessary changes.
3. Should the Client change the original text during the translation process, this will be considered a new assignment and the delivery time will be adjusted accordingly unless otherwise agreed.
4. The Client has the right to withdraw the assignment from the Agency, but they must then accept and pay for any already completed parts of the translation and to compensate any costs incurred by the Agency in the execution of that assignment.
5. The translation and the copyright thereof become the property of the Client only once they have settled the invoice in full.
6. The Agency is not responsible for any consequential losses (e.g. loss of trade or profits due to delays or otherwise) incurred by the Client as a result of late delivery of or any errors in the translation for any reason and relating to any person, unless the Agency can reasonably be construed to be responsible under the circumstances. In such an event the liability of the Agency is limited to the amount that they would charge the client for the applicable assignment.
7. The Agency is not responsible for any injuries suffered by any person and for any reason, unless the Agency can reasonably be construed to be responsible under the circumstances. In such an event section 6 does not apply and the liability of the Agency is limited to an amount that can reasonably be construed to be proportional to the agreed price for the applicable assignment.
8. The Agency is never responsible for any damages resulting from the loss, destruction or damage of any manuscripts, documents, papers, books, software, etc. entrusted to us. Transmission of said items is strictly at the Client's own risk. The Agency will assume that the documents or software received from the Client for translation are copies of originals held by the Client unless otherwise stated.
9. The Agency shall treat any and all documents or software entrusted to it as strictly confidential.
10. The Agency shall in no event attempt to use any knowledge gained from the performance of the translations for the benefit of itself or third parties.
11. The Client shall indemnify the Agency against any claims for damages made by third parties.
12. All agreements are subject to British law.
